Corpus, May 2010

We had an amazing time this weekend. We drove to Corpus for Patrick's 'Beach to Bay' run. Lots of time was spent playing on the beach. Tony didn't care much for the water, but Logan ventured out with us. They both loved the sand. Most of the day was spent building sand castles and lakes in the sand. Patrick's run went well, and we will definitely be making this an annual trip. We also spent a few hours at the Texas State Aquarium. There was lots for the boys to look at and explore. All in all, it was a great trip!

Logan's 2nd birthday party!

How can my little boy already be two? It seems like yesterday that we were taking him home after his heart surgery. Now he is talking in sentences, and wanting to sleep with Tony. He makes my heart so happy.
Tony and cousin Katie are hunting Easter Eggs in the park.

This is one of the boys favorite people. Ms. Candy...Tony has been going to her home daycare since he was 11 months old, and other than Granny daycare this is the only place that Logan has gone. She is such a blessing.

Tony was a bit confused about this present. The bubble lawn mower was just such a great present, it must be for him!!!

This is a great picture from a surprise wedding party for Pat's Aunt and Uncle. It's the first one we have of our Ruder family.

Coveralls

I know I haven't posted in a while, but with school in full swing, life has been pretty busy. The boys are taking swim lessons on Saturday mornings. Tomorrow will be the third week, and they are loving every minute. I don't have any pictures of them swimming, because Patrick and I are in the water with them during their lessons. It is a blast, and I'm so glad that we signed them up!

Here is Tony in some coveralls. His great Grandpa Tony wears coveralls just like this, so we couldn't resist!! We have been searching high and low for 2 1/2 years, and Grandma found some!

Hawaii

I had the great fortune of going to Hawaii with my friend Joyce. We stayed at the Hale Koa Resort for five nights. It was right on the beach, and could not have been located on a better spot...Of course I missed Patrick and the boys, so I am hoping that we can go back once they are older! These are some very personable sea lions that we saw at Sea Life Park.
If you look closely, you can see two Hawaiin green sea turtles. This was taken onboard our submarine ride. (see below)

This is Diamond Head. It erupted only once, roughly 200,000 years ago. I spent a morning and hiked it. It made me realize two things...One: I love geology...Two: Man am I out of shape!

A Hawaiin Green Sea Turtle basking in the sun. Have I mentioned that my favorite animal is a sea turtle?? The day that we went snorkling, I saw four right below me. It was AMAZING!!!
